  • Step aboard on one of our tour boats for a relaxed trip through the canals of The Hague. An enthusiastic guide shows you the city and all it has to offer.  When you get off the boat, you are only a two minute walk away from the colorful world of Chinatown. Here you can smell the scent of Asian herbs, visit one of the many authentic shops, and decipher the street signs and wise spells on the pavement. Afterwards you can also discover the former Jewish neighborhood which is very close by. Finally join us for an Chinese dim sum high tea!

    Program

    10.30 Our guide will be waiting for you at the Central Station. You will walk together to restaurant Kaai 13 for a cup of coffee or tea and delicious home-made apple pie.

    12:00 A guide is of course available on board De Ooievaart. The guides of De Ooievaart carry their stories with passion. They surprise you with enthusiastic stories about The Hague’s sights, the history and the daily life of the past and now. As you get to know the city from the water, funny anecdotes give the stories a light-hearted touch.

    13.30 Afterwards you will visit Restaurant Full Moon, in the middle of Chinatown in The Hague. Enjoy unlimited Chinese tea (Jasmine, Chrysanthemum, Iron Buddha or Pu’er tea) and all kinds of dim sum snacks.

    15.00 With a satisfied feeling of the Chinese high tea you visit Chinatown. The colorful atmosphere is present here everywhere. It is also the place of the former Jewish neighborhood. For centuries the Jewish community lived and worked here. Our guide shows you the places where the Jewish past is still visible.

    16.00 Full of impressions you walk back to the Central Station of The Hague with our guide.
