Hi! We're Dagje Den Haag, and we love The Hague.

We're a team of four collaborating organizations eager to show you the best our city has to offer. As a foundation, we do this primarily with our own volunteer guides, but we also have a large network, allowing us to tailor the perfect day out in The Hague for you!

The Stork

Our story begins over 20 years ago. Our founder/director, Peter, felt that The Hague's canals deserved more attention. Together with a few supporters, he established the De Ooievaart foundation, a canal boat tour organization dedicated to showcasing the beauty of The Hague from the water.

Well, he certainly knew it! A few years later, the Ooievaart had eight sailing boats, and thanks in part to the Ooievaart, The Hague became even more navigable, so that today, many people enjoy a trip through the canals of The Hague.

The Hague City Bike

The Hague City Bikes are an icon in The Hague. Every resident sees one of these yellow and green bikes whizzing through the city. The story of The Hague City Bike (yes, back then, in the chic "Haagsch" style!) began in 1990 when Du Nord bicycles started renting bikes from its location in Scheveningen. Since 2017, The Hague City Bikes have been part of Dagje Den Haag (Day Out in The Hague). We now have over 1000 (!) bicycles, tandems, e-bikes, cargo bikes, and children's bikes in our range, which you can rent from our locations in The Hague City Center and Scheveningen. They are also often available for rent directly from your hotel or B&B. Just ask at reception!

The Hague Tower

The most iconic and historic part of a Day in The Hague is The Hague Tower. This 600-year-old tower near the Grote Kerk (Great Church) has meant so much to our city throughout its history. Since 2017, we've been giving tours of the tower with a team of enthusiastic Tower Ladies and Gentlemen. They'll tell you the tower's story, show you its centuries-old mechanisms, and let you enjoy phenomenal views from the top. Every resident of The Hague should visit the tower at least once!

Ga Den Haag

Ga Den Haag stands for "Group Packages The Hague." At Ga Den Haag , we create the perfect group packages. For example, for company outings, team-building activities, family outings, or outings with friends. We do this with both our own products and those of our partners. With our boats, bikes, tower, and guides, we have a lot of expertise in-house, allowing us to create a fun and varied program at a competitive price that suits your group. We also have a large network, so we can always create a perfect outing!

Mission and objective

Dagje Den Haag wants to share its love for The Hague with you. We aim to boost tourism in The Hague from a social perspective. We'll introduce you to the colorful neighborhoods and history of The Hague in a relaxed way.
